What range of provision is available to support children with additional needs?

The main methods of provision made by the school are:

  • Full-time education in classes, with additional help and support by class teacher through a differentiated curriculum
  • In-class support with adult assistance
  • Periods of withdrawal individually or in groups to work with a support teacher/ETA
  • Support from specialists within class or as part of a withdrawal programme

The Assistant Head (Inclusion) and the Principal meet termly to consider the appropriateness and range of provision available and the Assistant Head (Inclusion) monitors, manages and evaluates the effectiveness of the provision each term.

An example of the range of interventions available is in Appendix 6.
