Welcome to Wolves!
Wolves is our Year 3 class. Mrs. Elnaggar is the class teacher, supported by Teaching Assistants Mrs Gill and Mrs Barl. Our student teacher is Miss Woodward. There are thirty children in Wolves class aged from seven to eight years old.
The morning session starts at 8:50am until 12.15pm and the afternoon session runs from 1.00pm to 3.15pm.
In a morning, the children are taught the core subjects of Maths and English. During these sessions, the children can work either as a whole class, in small groups, or 1:1 with an adult.
During the afternoon session, the children undertake topic related work which covers subjects such as History, Geography, Science, PE, Music, Design and Technology and Art. These topics change either on a half-termly or termly basis. Additionally, all children have weekly ukulele and French lessons.
Whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place, please come to school in your full PE kit on your PE days - do not wear school uniform.
Homework is given out on Fridays and should be completed and returned by the following Tuesday. Homework includes a list of spellings to be learnt and either an English or a Maths activity.
At Hillside, we love reading. We believe it is essential to our children's learning as it helps them to develop language skills and increases their knowledge of the world around them. Children are expected to read on Active Learn at home each evening. Please contact email@example.com if you are having any problems accessing this from home or if you have any questions. Thank you.
